If you go to Baidu.com and search for “手机” (cell phone), you’ll see a big list of cell phone retailers in place of the second search result. This is an example of Baidu Open, a platform that accumulates data from a multitude of sources and presents the data in an extra convenient format.
In the image above, three columns are presented: The website selling the phone, the number of phones available and their service guarantee. This is quite eye-catching.
Who Is Using Baidu Open?
Baidu Open is definitely useful for B2C websites. With Baidu Open, potential buyers might not need to search for company names individually (such as books on Amazon), but instead can just search for the book that they want to buy and see a convenient list.

As you can see, Baidu Open results generally show up higher than other search results. If a list is displayed, the ranking order of the list is affected by factors like the authority of the listed websites, the content of the websites, and the update frequency of the websites.
How Can You Get Your Info Displayed on Baidu Open?
It’s free to use, but not necessarily easy to use. Of course, it’s only available in Chinese.
